In May 2003, James founded “BuyToLet-Furnishings" with a £15k student loan, following the completion of his BA Honours in Psychology and English Language at Nottingham University. His goal was to provide a "one-stop" furnishing solution for the residential property sector within Greater Manchester. In 2004, he rebranded the business, and it became LOFT®. Since then, LOFT has grown into a nationwide operation. The company now has showrooms, warehousing, and distribution facilities in both Manchester and London, offering specialist interior design, procurement, project management, and installation services across the entire residential property sector via LOFT.co.uk. James has always emphasised service, quality, and value, with a consistent commitment to going the extra mile for clients. He also continually strives to enhance the company’s ESG and CSR credentials.
